APD-20 USS Roper

1/350 USS Roper APD-20 (Iron Shipwrights)

A typical World War II Wickes class APD. Model kit is the Iron Shipwright 1/350 USS Roper APD.  Have found that very little information (photo's) are known about any particular ship. Have found that most of these little ships were painted in Measure 31 & 32 Large Bloch Pattern Camouflage.  Paints used were 5-PG Pale Green, 5-LG Light Green, 5-HG Haze Green, 5-OG Ocean Green, 5-NG Navy Green and #4 Brown.

I used the USS Ward's Camo pattern for the models starboard side, and a combination of patterns from other APD's for the port Camo scheme.
