Mooring tenders / lift ships plant and maintain navigation buoys and undertake salvage tasks.  They can also transport air cushion vehicles and small craft.  The Russian Navy's Kashtan class vessels have a large working area amidships with a heavy-lift, 100-ton-capacity gantry at the stern, a 12-ton electro-hydraulic crane to starboard, and a 60-ton boom amidships.  The ships have a docking well amidships for stowing buoys and other gear.  Displacement is 4,600 tons full load, with a length of 334 feet overall and a beam of 65 feet 7 inches.  They have a large block superstructure and ice-breaking prow.  These vessels were built in Rostock (former East Germany).

This is a 1/700 custom-made model, with two salvage submersibles in the aft docking well.
