1/700 USS South Dakota (Trumpeter)
The South Dakota is modeled in the late war version,with the Navy Blue paint scheme she carried throughout WWII. The South Dakota was the lead ship in the class of four fast battleships designed in the 1930's. She was launched in June of 1941 and received 13 battle stars in the war.I used the following in constructing this model:
