1/700 USS Iowa BB61 (Tamiya)

The USS Iowa was the lead class ship for the final construction of United States battleships.  Built at the New York Naval Shipyard, she was commissioned in February 1943.  At 44,100 tons, the Iowa carried nine 16” guns and had a top speed of 33 knots, fast enough to keep up with the any of the US carriers.  She is painted in Measure 32/1B camouflage of 1944.  The Iowa received nine battle stars during WWII.
