1/350 USS Louisiana BB-71 (Very Fire/Blue Ridge)

1. Model kit used is the VERY FIRE 1/350 scale USS Montana (Kit # 350913).
2. Model painted with the following acrylics:
a) Testor 5-N Navy Blue (Side of ship hull.)
b) Testor Insignia Red (Bottom of ship hull.)
c) Testor 5-H Haze Grey (Superstructure, Gun turrets, etc.)
d) Vallejo Model Air Color #71.005 Grey Blue to simulate Deck Blue 20B for horizontal deck surfaces.
3. Photoetch ladders, stairs, fire hoses, hatches, and life rings from Gold Medal Models and Eduard.
4. All portholes and bridge windows "painted" with a .20mm black ink pen.
5. Main 16” gun turrets rotate and are also completely removable.
6. Tips of 16" gun barrels drilled out "slightly" to give the illusion/impression of hollowed out gun barrels.
7. Barrels on all 5” secondary gun turrets elevate.
8. Half of the 16" gun shells in cutaway turret assembly are from a TAMIYA 1/350 USS Missouri kit. The other half are scratchbuilt as I didn't have enough Missouri shells. Black is armor piercing. Green is high explosive. Blue is inert target practice rounds.
9. Floater net baskets are from a spare 1/350 USS Indianapolis kit, and also from Model-Monkey.com 3D printed website.
10. Photoetch 20mm and 40mm gun shields.
