1/350 HMS King George V (Tamiya)
This has taken approx 3 months to complete, I have tried to portray the KGV weighing anchor at Scapa Flow, showing port accommodation ladder, recovery of cutter and cable party on the focsle, as an ex signalman I carried out a little research into the type/description of flags that would have been flown at that time and hope these are correct. The display case is my own design and commission, again showing the vessel at anchor, just about to weigh, with clear view as if at sea. The only flaw or accident/fire during construction was foolishly leaving my magnifying glass hovering over the hull while the sun burnt a nice long hole in the hull port side just above the waterline and below the aft 5 inch turret !!
