1/450 IJN Yamato (Hasegawa)

I happened to buy my most wanted dream kit, during a trip to Tokyo. This Hasegawa kit for this IJN Yamato has very good details and the parts allow a good fitting. However, the decals are not waterslide ones but just printed ones on paper. Therefore it is difficult to stick them to the battleship, especially signal flags. The kit also does not provide PE parts. This is the only downside of the kit. So it is mostly out-of-box build but I scratch built some parts myself.

I included scratch build to add tripod aerial masts, and also filled more details for the rails of the mast upon which the IJN flag is hoisted by using unused plastic parts from other kits as well as lead wires.

In addition, I included PE parts (such as hand rails), and also rigging wires.
