1/350 RN Roma (Trumpeter)
In building this kit my references were Jim Bauman's ModelWarships.com
article on building the Axis Models RN Roma in 1/350 scale, photos of Giacarlo
Barbieri's 1/100 scale RN Roma from the Venice Naval museum, and Erminio
Bagnasco's and Augusto de Toro's book, "The Littorio Class". I chose to
paint my Roma in the overall light grey scheme she wore before being turned
over from the builder to the Italian navy simply because I was afraid of
messing up the red and white aircraft recognition stripes on the bow...masking
over the molded on mushroom vents on the bow was too much of a challenge.
