1/550 Imperator Nikolai I (Scratchbuild)
This is a pretty simple model of Imperator Nikolai I, flagship of the 3rd Pacific Squadron of older, slower, obsolescent warships that with the 2nd Pacific Squadron fought at the Battle of Tsushima. Admiral Nebogatov, the commander, surrendered the survivors of the 3rd Pacific Squadron on the second day of the battle after the 2nd Pacific Squadron had been decimated. For this he was subsequently dishonorably discharged, stripped of his titles of nobility, and condemned to death for cowardice (later commuted to 10 years imprisonment, which was also later reduced). The Imperator Nikolai I was taken into Japanese service as the Iki.
