This is the German WWI battlecruiser SMS Seydlitz, an incredibly tough ship which took heavy damage at Jutland but still made it back to port.
The kit is the 1/250 scale paper model by JSC of Poland. This was my first large-scale paper model, and let's just say I learned a lot. The finished product is admittedly rough around the edges, but is still pretty impressive if viewed from a reasonable distance!
I'm currently working on a similarly large paper model of the French battleship Richelieu, and the lessons learned in building this first model are proving very helpful.
The JSC paper kits are very good quality. I recommend them to anyone looking for large scale models of unusual subjects, for a very reasonable price.
