1/500 USS Oregon City CA-122 (Revell Kitbash)
This is my attempt at kitbashing an old Revell Baltimore heavy cruiser into another class. Just like the US navy did, I improved the arc of fire for the antiaircraft battery by cutting down the superstructure.
I used the fine 5" 38cal twin mounts from Matt Stein Models for the first time replacing the one supplied with the kit(although five of the six which come with the kit are not so bad with a little cutting). The hull is cedar. Gold Medal supplied the PE rails,radar, and crane. The bridge is from Baltimore. The funnel is from my parts box as is the rest of the upperworks. 40mm's from the kit...gold plated anchor chain from Macy's.
