1/700 USS Houston CA-30 (Corsair Armada)

Northampton class heavy cruiser USS Houston early 1942.

Faith: The USS Houston, accompanied by the Australian light cruiser Perth, was sunk in the Sunda Strait on march 1, 1942 as the two ships attempted to escape southwards into the Indian Ocean. They ran straight into a Japanese invasion fleet of destroyers and troop transports in Banteng Bay and after a battle during which all ammunition was expended, both ships were sunk by torpedoes.
