1/200 French cruiser De Grasse (scratchbuilt)
The model that I present today is a model of an french made anti aircrafts cruiser : De grasse. The model was completely scratchbuilding in 1/200 scale .In 1945, French navy decided to use the hull of a cruiser which was under construction (since 1937) at the begginning of world war 2. De grasse cruiser was never finished as heavy cruiser. She was finished as an anti aircrafts cruiser with several anti aircrafts gun ( gun of 127mm and 57mm) from 1951 to 1954. Artillery of 127mm and 57mm was the new standard for french navy in post war time. De grasse was introduce in french navy in 1956. My model represent the ship in this time. De grasse was refited in 64/66 as command cruiser for the Pacific area (for atomic french tests). In 1972, it was the end of her operational life. The hull was broken in 1974 in Italy.
Model in 1/200 scale, completely scrachbuild except some railways from L'Arsenal.
