Furutaka-1

1/350 IJN Furutaka (Yankee Modelworks)

The IJN Furutaka was commissioned March 31, 1926. Its length is 176.8 meters. Its main armament was 6 x 7.9 50 caliber guns. The Furutaka fought most of its battles in the Pacific and was sunk at the Battle of Cape Esperance on October 12, 1942. The kit itself was a pleasure to put together as it went together with relative ease. The only real work was cleaning the over pour on the parts. The model was painted with White Ensign paints.
