USS San Jacinto CG-56
by Richard Wonderly

1/700 USS San Jacinto CG-56 (DML)

I built this from a fairly recent DML kit of the USS Normandy Ticonderoga class Aegis guided missile cruiser. A decent kit with reasonably good detail and a fairly comprehensive set of decals. I chose to complete this as the USS San Jacinto CG-56 because it was the ship that fired the first Tomahawk cruise missiles of the first Gulf War.

There was no photo-etch with this kit and my local shop didn't carry anything for 700 scale at that time other than railing, so I made do with what I had and some leftovers from my scrap box. And the rigging was done with 0.006" brass.
