1/700 USS Enterprise CV-6 (HP Models)
The USS Enterprise, 1942, prior to The Battle of Midway. The Enterprise was the second of three Yorktown class ships. She missed only one battle in WWII, the Battle of the Coral Sea in early 1942. The USS Enterprise was the most decorated ship of WWII, receiving 20 Battle Stars. The Enterprise survived the war, but was mothballed after the war as she was not big enough to handle jet aircraft. Sadly, she was scrapped in 1956, as not enough money could be raised to save her as a museum piece.I used the following in constructing this model::
I have also included two photos updating my recent submission of the CV5 Yorktown, 1942, with added flight deck striping.
