1/700 USS Hornet CV-8 (Trumpeter)
This is a Trumpeter model of the USS Hornet which I built back in 2006.
The mode that I have selected for this model is during the battle of Midway
in the mid of 1942 where the carriers planes are getting ready to launch
to attack the Japanese fleet. Overall it was a satisfying model to built.
No PE parts were used , the water base is done using styrofoam and water
color. Certain parts of the model was scratch built to make it more detail.
The weathering done was mild , this model has some historical inaccuracies
but entirely it was good first attempt build.
