1/600 USS Ranger CVA-61 (Aurora)
After completing a 1/720 Italeri brand CVN I realized this old, woefully detail deficient Aurora model of CVA Ranger was still sitting in back of cabinet shelf. I was going to strip some pieces from it and throw it in the trash, but sentiment took over.....so, I water-ined and kit-bashed the thing to update. In the process I found a container of some of the original Aurora aircraft that had originally come with it. So, I ended up with Ranger circa 1960 for time being until the next kit comes along, and for a library display put it alongside a kit-bashed Renwal Talos missile CLG.
