1/720 USS Kitty Hawk (Italeri)
The models are the Italeri 1/720 U.S.S. Kitty Hawk CV-63 and Skywave 1/700 U.S.S. Cowpens CG-63. The aircraft are Skywave, PE and figures are from Tom's Modelworks. Also many details (e.g. various domes and electronics) were scratchbuilt. The shape of the island was modified in order to be close to the most modern standards.

Some new photos of CV-63 in 2003 fit. The ship is
beeing refuelled by AOE-3 simultaneously with DDG-62.
I especially like to display my ships like that. A
carrier may look good but combined with an AOE, AOR,
or AO it looks much better.
