1/700 USS Block Island CVE-21 (Tamiya)
Tamiya 1/700 USS Bogue built to represent USS Block Island (CVE-21). Gold Medal Models CVL/CVE photo-etched set used for main mast, railings, radars and pulleys on cranes. GMM aircraft detail set used for Wildcat landing gear (though I made it too short) and props for both the Wildcats and Avengers. I used the kits 20mm pedestals and sheilds with GMM 20mm guns.
The model is painted Ms22 with WEM colorcoats and weathered with oils. Planes are painted WEM colorcoats and Humbrol paints. She's a nice little addition to my 1/700 carrier fleet.
