1/350 USS Savo Island CVE-78 (Hasegawa)
This kit is built using the excellent Gambier Bay along with their A and B etch set. GMM Decals were used for the deck numbers and 1 set of Trumpeter Avengers to beef up the air wing. I decided to paint my first US Carrier under Measure 22, the information from the excellent ShipCamoflage website. The B etch set gives the options of all non “Gambier Bay” class Casablanca class carriers, I hope to have given this justice considering the amount of etch.
Overall a very nice build.
