CVN-65 USS Enterprise

 1/350 USS Enterprise CVN-65 (Tamiya)

This is the 1/350 USS Enterprise (CVN65) from Tamiya. I built it with the Gold Medal Photoetched parts and decals for the aircraft. I also used the Dunagain Decal set for various markings. I started building my Enterprise straight out of the box in 1999. In 2002 I added the photoetched parts and other decals, so it was a bit difficult. Many aircraft have open canopies. I used the book "Pilots of the seventh fleet" for reference. I spent a lot of time on the aircraft painting lights and detailing them with thin plastic card for the doors and weapon pylons.
