1/400 HMS Illustrious (Heller)

One of my earlier constructions, from 2009 and certainly one of the few 1/400 I have ever build, I’m glad to share with you my version of HMS Illustrious close to early 1943, while on duty in the Indian Ocean. The kit is a very old Heller 1/350 scale.

Build up OOB, the model was a very challenging one in terms of cement together pieces and fill gasps and holes. Humbrol and Tamiya acrylic paints with no extra weathering or rigging on the antennas.

After all the work, I’m glad with the result and proud on this specific model.
