I have been planning to do this for about 18 Months but really struggled with frame shape, Ship size, angles and topic. Decided in the end to bite the bullet and just get on with it, the model I had bought showed HMS Invincible as built before the Falklands War, unfortunately being so early in Her career there was not alot of choice of location. She did visit Rosyth so painted the Forth Bridge, with aircraft going to be on deck only, but got the angles wrong, so used that for HMS Westminster. I was trying to skirt the Falkland War as an Emotive issue for people with varying perspectives and experiences but could not come up with any other ideas for location, so finally decided on putting Her off Ascension Island getting additional last minute supplies before going South. First choice of direction of Ship changed. The idea though did allow Me to paint in a Vulcan bomber, Victor refueler, HMS Hermes, a County class Destroyer plus RMS St Helena while putting in flying model Harrier's and a Chinook Helicopter. As a picture its title would be "Storm Brewing", hence the daft cloud.
