1/700 IJN Soryu (Aoshima)
I have recently finished the Aoshima new tooling kit of the IJN Soryu
in 1/700 scale. I thought it was a really well done kit, much better detailed
than the older versions. I added railings from Gold Medal Models.
The next-to-last picture shows her with her near-sister Hiryu.
My Hiryu is one of the old-tool 1970s vintage Aoshima kits. The very
last picture shows her as part of a group build done recently by my model
club, Wright Field Scale Modelers. The subject was the Battle of
Midway, and I did all four IJN carriers.
