1/700 Akagi (Scratchbuilt)
Early on December 7th 1941, the Battle Flag from Tsushima was hoisted on the mast.
This 29,600T elegant Carrier after her rebuilt could carry 91 aircrafts. When Jefgte’s Shipyards built the 1/700 WL model, in 1986, I was so impressed by the number of aircrafts that she could carry, so, I have decided to imagine Akagi in November 1941 during a fleet review with all her aircrafts on the flying deck.
Then, I bought 1/700 Japanese aircraft boxes and after much test, all 91 aircraft took place on the flying deck.
I use balsa for the hull and various components for little parts.
