1/350 USS Selfridge DD-357 in 1943 (Yankee Modelworks )
Model kit is the Blue Water Navy now Yankee Modelworks 1/350 USS Balch. I built the kit as DD-357 USS Selfridge in October of 1943 at the Battle of Vella Lavella. It was in this battle the Selfridge lost her bow back to the bridge, blown off by a Japanese Long Lance torpedo.
The Selfridge was little changed up till this time from early war configuration. The BWN Balch kit was perfect to use in building this model.
