1/350 USS Laffey DD 459 (Dragon)
This model depicts USS Laffey as she appeared during the Guadalcanal Campaign, November 1942. Gold Medal USS Fletcher Set as well as other spare Photoetch parts were used in this model. Paint used was Tamiya Acrylics. Sailor figures are also from Tamiya. Weathering was done using Tamiya Weathering Master powder, clear coat, smoke and bare metal paint.
Dragon's line of destroyer kits are the best in the market. Everything
fits easily and the amount of detail in the kit is outstanding. I am very
happy with this build and how the details came out considering that the
Measure 21 scheme is very dark in appearance.
