1/350 USS The Sullivans DD-537 (Trumpeter)
This is the Trumpeter 1/350 USS The Sullivans. The kit includes parts for either a 1943 early war version or a 1945 late war version. I chose to build it in the 1945 configuration. This kit has been criticized for being light on detail, but the only thing that really jumped out at me were the 20mm guns, which are chunky and do seem like a throwback to an earlier generation of kits. But, it's hard for me to be too critical, because it's still a big improvement from the 1970s vintage Heller kit I worked on at the same time as I was finishing this one.
