The SURCOUF (D621) is an "Escorteur d'Escadre" T47 in service in the French Navy from 1955 to 1972. The first in a series of 18 ships. On june 6 1971, near Cartagena (Spain), The SURCOUF was boarded by the Soviet Tanker General Busharov. The Soviet ship practically cuts it in two... The accident toll was nine missing and one seriously injured, who died of his burns...
