1/200 IJN Kiji (Answer)

Answer is a new comer to paper ship modeling. On display here is the IJN Light Destroyer Kiji. The model was a fun build, the difficulty level was fairly high. The paper had a tendency to separate when rolled tightly. The fit was near perfect and the assembly diagrams were excellent. I used laser cut paper rails for this model. They cost $1.99 per sheet as compared to $25.00 per sheet for Tom’s rails. They look satisfactory. I have used them on three models, HMS Sheffield and SMS Lutzow being the other two.

I have ordered more of Tom’s rails though for my nearly finished IJN Tone and plan to use them on IJN Nagato as well. After 3 kits I decided the extra $’s was worth it for the improved look.
