1/700 IJN Yukikaze (Hasegawa)
Here’s my latest diorama entitled ‘History Awaits’ and shows the IJN Yukikaze dockside in May 1942 as she prepares for the sortie to Midway. The ship itself is the Hasegawa kit with Tom’s PE. With the exception of the figures (L’Arsenal) and the vehicles (GHQ) everything else is scratchbuilt using styrene sheet and left over PE most notably from the WEM Hornet interior set and the GMM New Jersey set (the barge crane). It took over two years to complete and, by my reckoning, has over 2000 separate parts…
