Rescue of the Reno

1/350 USS Reno CL-96 USS Zuni ATF-95

USS Zuni (ATF-95) along side the torpedoed and sinking USS Reno (CL-96). The Zuni is preventing the Reno from capsizing to starboard.  The Zuni pumped out sufficient water to keep the Reno on an even keel and then towed her to safety.

The Zuni was built from Commander series model of there ocean going tug. The Reno was built from Blue Water Navy's Oakland Class cruiser.
