1/700 HSwMS Thor (Fairy Kikaku)
The Thor was a Swedish coastal defense ship, which served between 1896 and 1937. To build it, I use again a resin model from Fairy Kikaku. In the same way as when I made the São Paulo, this is a kit that demands a lot of work to improve it, with the advantage that this is much smaller and with fewer parts. I built some pieces from scratch to replace the most defective kit ones. I also had to use spare parts to improve the ship, as well as PE from different sources. Finally, after a coat of primer, the model was painted with Tamiya acrylics and weathered using oil paints. You can see the building of the model at my website: www.escalanaval.com.ar
