ORP Jaskolka ("Swallow") was a Polish Bird-class minesweeper, built in the 1930s. The ships captured by the Germans in 1939 were used for various utility purposes by the Kriegsmarine; most survived the war and a number of them remained in service post-war.
This waterline model was scratchbuilt from styrene sheet + stock, along with various modified spares-box parts such as the winch and lifeboat, and the minesweeping floats which are modified 1/72 aircraft fuel tanks! Plans and photos in an article from the "Warship" publication were used for reference.
Built in mid-2006, this was my first serious scratchbuilt ship model.
