1/700 Faa Di Bruno (Regia Marina)
A quick and simple build of this very unusual Italian monitor in WW1 colour scheme. she carried 2 x 15 inch guns, and reached a top speed of 3 knots! The protection was poured concrete along all of her sides. the whole effect was like the roof of an industrial building with the massive turret sitting on top.
The kit instructions are a bit too artistic showing photographs of the parts built on in stages, continuing on under heavy ling to show a second WW2 version with a camo scheme which you would have to interpret if you do not have drawings.
A good start to the Christmas break however, and a very unusual build to include in your little navy.
