Amtank LVTP-7
by Massimo D'Antilio

1/35 Amtank LVTP-7 Italian Army - Reggimento Lagunari - 2002 (Academy)

The model, with a three-tone camouflage, uncommon in the Italian army (they had only two LVTP7) represents a LVTP7 of "Lagunari" used in the operation OPEVAL 2002 in Sardinia.

The model was converted to RC with electric motors, but can be exposed correctly on static exhibitions. It 'can perform the same operations as the real means. Moves on the ground with the tracks (without propellers), enters the water and sail with the two helices (tracks still) out of the water (depending on track and propellers). It can turn 360 ° fixed point. The only electronics in this model is the receiver, all other controls have been homemade with mechanisms operated by servos. The rear hatch is sealed and opened to maintenance of the model.

All identification plate were made with an airbrush, with home-made masks with homemade photoetching. Number plate is one of the two real Italian army amphibious.

Was not used any particular purchased aftermarket. Were made the handles of doors with homemade photoetching, the barrel of the .50 machine gun with a lathe DIY and handrails with brass wire.

On Youtube There are two videos 'in action' to Model Expo Verona 2010
