1/60 Arab Dhow (Artesania kitbashed)
My wife has been on assignment in Saudi Arabia so I built this kit for her and my daughter who I had promised a sailing ship model years ago. I kitbashed it from a Artesanai model. The model seems accurate but I changed it up a bit because I thought the model as it appears on the box cover was too "restaurant scale". I weathered the model to better represent a working Dhow. I was also not happy with the supplied wooden barrels so I scratchbuilt a couple for the deck. I was also able to fish some small wire thru the sails to make the vessel appear to be under sail.
