1/96 HMS Beagle (Revell Germany)
The HMS Beagle was Charles Darwins' historic discovery barque.
Replaced the kits heavy molded ratlines with scratch-built ones made of nylon thread. Water is latex caulk painted with gloss acrylic paint. Base is 1.50 thick floral foam. Pilot whales are toy store plastic animals that seemed about the right scale. Sailors are HO scale (1/87) figures, a little large for the 1/96 scale ship.That's Charles Darwin up front, checking out the whales. Revell kit was nice to build, not too many problems with fits or flash.
