1/96 Cutty Sark (Revell-Monogram)

I haven't made any models for over 20 years now. After visiting the Arizona Memorial and the Mighty Mo whilst in Hawaii in July, I bought my sons models of the Arizona and the Mighty Mo. Also, my wife bought me an air brush and compressor for my birthday. I have had the Cutty Sark in the cupboard of 15 years and thought I would test out my new toys. You can see the models of the Arizona and Missouri in the foreground to some of the shots.

I had lots of fun building each of the models, particularly the Cutty Sark. I found rigging the models the most challenging, particularly the running rigging. I managed to snap the Main Yard (bottom arm for the main large sail on the main mast in the middle) whilst trying to rig some other yard arms. Rigging rope going every where! Needless to say, tweezers come in very handy and after rigging the Cutty Sark, I reckon I'm up for some surgical time with those long nose tweezers and tying knots)

This is also my first attempt at photographing my models - I hope they turned out okay.
