This is an old casting, purchased for about $20 for nostalgia. Rigging was done using hot melt and thread. I couldn't find much on the history of the ship, she was taken as a prize from the French and became Henry Morgan's flagship when his original flagship exploded and sank during a celebration in Jamaica. It must have been some party.......... The engraving on the hull is incredibly detailed for a 1960s era kit, the cannon are superb and the kit even includes gunport covers. I couldn't find anything on color schemes, the only painting of the ship I found was in really poor condition so i went with a dark wood tone finish.
