1/232 HMS Thunderchild (Revell)
A diorama depicting the battle between HMS Thunderchild and two Martian War Machines, as described in the novel by H.G. Wells and depicted on the cover of the rock opera album by Jeff Wayne. The Thunderchild was converted from a Revell USS Olympia kit. The significant modifications were to the funnels, turrets and masts. The Martian War Machines are completely scratchbuilt.
