1/700 Auxiliary Cruiser Shinano Maru (Seals Model)

This is my model of the auxiliary Cruiser Shinano Maru. The Shinano Maur was one of the first ships which was acquired of the japanese Army witht the start of the Russian-Japanese War. It first served as transportships in bringing soldiers from Japan to Korea. The Shinano Maru was deployed on the night from the 26.May 1905 to the 27.May in search for the Russian Baltic Fleet. The Shinao Maru got in contact with the Russian Hospital ship Orel. The Orel led the Shinano Maru to the Russian Fleet. These events led to the battle of Tsushima and the destruction of the Russian Fleet.

The model is a resin kit from Seals model. The company has a lot of models from this era. It was a joy to build the kit.
