1/350 RMS Lusitania (Gunze Sanyo)
This is the RMS Lusitania at the 1/350 scale manufactured by GunzeS. I built her over a 3 month period after my "internship" building the Titanic. She is one of my best models and I am very proud of her. To me..she truly represents one of the finer passenger steam ships constructed during the golden years by the Cunard Line. She topped out at about 21 knots and held the Blue Riban until her sister ship, the Mauretania, snatched it from her. Unfortunately, she met her end during a wartime cruise south of Queenstown, Ireland, by a single torpedo from the U-20 and sank in less than 18 minutes with the loss of over 1,195 passengers.
