The lifeboats on this model were very unconvincingly integrally molded
with part of the hull sides and with the davits. Boats were cut away
and new davits made partly from fuse wire and partly from etched brass
parts. The lifeboats were rebuilt since only their visible halves
were molded by the manufacturers.
