1/350 German Submarine U-96 (Revell)

This is the model of the German Submarine U-96 in 1/350 scale, a very popular scale for submarines. This was a Type VIIC U-boat of the German Navy during WWII. She was commissioned September 14, 1940 with Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock in command. The U-96 was also known for its emblem, a green laughing sawfish. She sunk on 30 March 1945 by US bombs in Wilhelmshaven. In 1981 Wolfgang Petersen brought the story of the U-96 to the big screen (Das Boot).
