1/700 DDV-192 Ibuki (Tamiya)
DDV-192 Ibuki is a fictional aircraft carrier from a Japanese comic "Kubo Ibuki". Although it looks Very similar to the DDH Izumo-class ships... No Ship Exists {yet}. The kit includes many features of the Izumo (including that missing 'door' on the starboard side of the island). The kit is Very good, and Tamiya did a Great job of providing a ski-ramp on the ship that is flush to the deck, and a good amount of F-35B for the ship (10) with a few fittings in the 'VTOL' mode for launch/landing plus helos. Also I want to mention that this is a Waterline Model! Lastly, I installed an Outstanding photo-etch set from Artist Hobby dedicated for the Tamiya kit, but might want to include more for the mast and around the island, but the vents around the hull are Top-notch! Even though the ship is fictional....it makes wonder if Japan would make this helicopter destroyer a (carrier).
