The Spanish Navy's destroyer Lepanto was the former USS Capps DD-550.
For this conversion, the Tamiya USS Fletcher kit was used with generic photo-etched parts and a complete scratch-made transformation.
This conversion is not extremely difficult except for the central mast, which was replaced with metal rods, and modifications to the funnels.
The paints used are Vallejo with oil finishes and Mig watercolor pencils.
The ship is depicted underway on a Styrofoam base painted with acrylics, using cotton and various types of gloss medium.
